The Blue Heron Homeowners Association (BHHA) is:
Located in the Southwest corner of Oswego Lake, with member 111 households.
Situated within one of the state's best (and nationally ranked) school districts.
Led by a volunteer Board of Directors that oversees all BHHA operations, including finances, architectural review, and the fixed assets of a neighborhood (a swimming pool and footbridge across the Blue Heron Canal).
Our BHHA community is home to a variety of personalities, passions and professions from architects and attorneys to physicians and physicists. We are homemakers, retirees, executives, entrepreneurs, consultants, business owners, teachers and more. We collectively represent a community that understands the priceless value found in people.
On this website you will find information about our neighborhood pool, exclusively for the use of BHHA homeowners and their guests, the Architectural Review Committee (ARC), and all those pesky legal documents like Articles of Incorporation, By-Laws and Declarations of Restrictions (CCRs). We encourage you to download copies of the pool rules or any of the other information contained on this site.
The Blue Heron Homeowners Association is a non-profit corporation established as the governing body to represent the interests of 111 homeowners whose properties are identified in the Articles of Incorporation dated April 17, 1967. The BHHA is responsible for the management and enforcement of these Articles of Incorporation, the Association By-Laws and the Declaration of Restrictions (CCRs). The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) is an entity set forth in the CCRs to manage the “conformity and harmony” of the community. Please understand the specific process with respect to home and property improvements that now apply to you as a member of the BHHA. Finally, the BHHA owns, manages, operates and maintains both the BHHA Swimming Pool and the pedestrian footbridge across the Blue Heron Canal.
The BHHA is a specific subset of the larger Blue Heron Neighborhood Association (BHNA).
The BHHA collects annual dues from each homeowner with the explicit purpose of managing, maintaining and operating association-owned property; specifically, the BHHA swimming pool and footbridge, as well as the support of annual social activities for its members.
BHHA, not to be confused with the BHNA.
The Blue Heron Homeowners Association (BHHA) is often confused with the Blue Heron Neighborhood Association (BHNA). Please know that the BHNA is a separate entity and acts as a liaison between several different homeowners’ associations and the City of Lake Oswego. The BHHA is a subset of the Blue Heron Neighborhood Association and made up of 111 specific homes and properties.
